About Me

Teaching

I taught high school English for several years. At St. Agnes Academy, I teach Catholicism to sophomores, and a senior elective, Seeking God Through Film. This is my 24th year of teaching.

St. Agnes is a wonderful school! This is my 6th year here. I love it. I like the Dominican charisms and I love the diversity of not only the students, but also the faculty at St. Agnes. I am honored to be part of the education of the students here, and I have come to feel like this is my home.

Catholicism is a sophomore level course which looks at various aspects of Catholic faith by exploring the historical development of the Church from biblical times to the present.  Catholic practices are studied with a particular emphasis on sacraments as the living celebration of the faith.

In "Seeking God Through Film", the class explores through film, theological themes such as love, forgiveness, goodness, evil, etc. One goal of this course is to approach film more critically and attentively, becoming aware of how film can be a medium for reinforcing gospel values.
