This course focuses on the study of geometric principles through integration, application, and connections. By integrating all branches of math, applying real world situations and connecting to other subjects, the student will develop powers of spatial visualization, perceiving the role of inductive and deductive reasoning in both mathematical and non mathematical situations and further strengthening basic algebra skills. Topics include parallel lines and planes, congruent triangles and their uses, similar polygons, right triangles and basic trigonometric functions, circles, constructions, areas of plane figures, areas and volumes of solids, coordinate geometry, and geometric reasoning and proof.
