Syntax error
Syntax is the way a sentence is put together according to grammatical rules. It is the rule-governed arrangement of words in sentences. Sometimes your syntax will be skewed so that its meaning becomes unclear. When I underline parts of your sentences and write "syntax error" in the margin, try looking at the arrangement of words in the sentence. Read it aloud, and see if you can tell that the syntax is out of clear or grammatical order. Then rework the sentence into a different arrangment.
Example of syntax errors

Possible revised word order
